if you are looking for a name change but cant afford the basically $400 like most people then go to your local court house and ask for an “indigent form” that form you will state that you cant afford to change your name. so then it will be free if very little.

feel free to add to this if other states have any more information

Landon told me to do this so when I went to the county clerks office I asked for a fee waiver, I had to go to the law library to get the right paperwork then filled out my income and my monthly expenses and they waived my $290 court fee. I still had to pay for the notary and fingerprints and whatnot before all that but it ended up being around $50 total rather than $300+ definitely look into it if you need some financial help with this process!

Additionally this link had all the info for name changes in TX that I needed:
http://www.transequality.org/documents/state/texas

(I think you can go on that site and select other states as well so it should be helpful!)

I know this isn’t exactly fashion but I like rebloging other resources for you lovelies too.

Another reason why Donald Glover’s ‘Atlanta’ is one of the best shows on television…

this was genius

Y'all should know that the owner of Arizona actually encourages you to call the company if you ever see a store charging over 99cents.

Oh wow

I’m snitchin!! 🗣

The “Steampunk” heart

Weighing in at 650g, this artificial heart created by a medical engineering team at Bivacor uses magnetic levitation to spin a disc at extremely fast speeds to pump blood to the body and return oxygen-depleted blood to the lungs.

It also doesn’t attempt to mimic the human heart like its 3D printed counterparts. Instead, it rather uses a magnetically levitating centrifugal pump — no valves, no ventricles — that supplies a continuous stream of blood. Oddly enough, that means the patient would technically have no pulse.

Read the full writeup on the Bivacor “Steampunk” Heart at Futurism.com

For an in-depth technical walkthrough check out this piece by IEEE Spectrum

I volunteer to have no pulse

i’ve said it before i’ll say it again there’s a difference between lady gaga singing born this way in 2011 and taylor swift singing “shade never made anyone less gay” (whatever the fuck that means) to profit off of it in 2019

The difference is that Lady Gaga is bisexual and Taylor Swift is straight

Since we all talking about the lion king lets talk about the only good remake

It’s almost like using a unique and interesting visual style aids in capturing a viewer’s attention and lends itself to creating a fresh-feeling while still loyal adaption, as opposed to just seeing how realistic we can make this lion look with no care put into expression/blocking/readability of scenes

i see a frightening amount of ads for Scientology on youtube and i just wanna make sure everyone knows how dangerous it is. it’s not some misunderstood religion, it really is a dangerous cult and a scam. they will bleed you dry of your money and harass you to no end, do not give them your money or any information they can and will destroy you financially and psychologically

Shelly Miscavige, the wife of Scientology’s current leader David Miscavige, has been missing for over a decade with no leads or proof she’s even still alive. She disappeared after allegedly disobeying David (who is known to punish Scientology members with direct physical violence or imprisoning them against their will), and nobody knows where she is, what happened, or why she dropped off the face of the earth. The Church maintains that she’s alive and well but she hasn’t been seen since 2007.

Scientology is dangerous.

I strongly recommend watching Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief and Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath
